Stefano Forti is an assistant professor at the Department of Computer Science, University of Pisa, Italy. He holds a PhD degree cum laude in Computer Science (2020) from the University of Pisa, with a thesis on “Deployment and Management of Fog Applications”. He holds the National Scientific Qualification as associate professor in Informatics (INF/01) and Computer Engineering/Information Processing Systems (09/H1) from the Italian Ministry of University and Research. His research interests include Cloud-IoT computing paradigms, QoS-aware and sustainable application management and formal automated reasoning. He has co-authored over 30 research articles in these areas, published in international journals, conferences, and books. He has taught several practical modules in advanced software engineering and he is passionate about innovative methodologies for teaching computer science at all levels. Since 2015, he coordinates the activities of the Pisa CoderDojo club to teach young people how to code.
